Daksha Prajapati (Emperor of Earth), a famous divine personality in Hindu mythology, is often associated with Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga. Spiritually ignorant people have for centuries not been able to decode the reason behind Devi Sati/Parvati's well-known episode of self-immolation, as to who the mastermind behind it was.
The owner of 21 universes, Kaal Brahm, remains unmanifested (Gita 7:24 & 25) and, like a deceiver, plays his wicked games from behind the curtain. A common man can't understand his dreadful trap. He ruins the precious life of the living beings by making them indulge in wrong practices, which are all prohibited in pious Shrimad Bhagavad Gita 16:23 and 24 like performing Yagya (Gita 7:12-15 ), visiting places of pilgrimage, idol worship, carrying out Shraddha (Gita 9:25), keeping fast (Gita 6:16) etc.
Many popular stories concealed within Hindu mythology that are scripted in the holy spiritual books astutely draw the attention of the devotees to ponder the purpose behind those incidents, whose unrevealed truth is decoded by an enlightened saint. The same will be brought face-to-face in this thought-provoking article through the real story of Daksha Prajapati, who suffered because he was a puppet in the hands of Brahm Kaal, who is not dear to any creature of the Supreme God Kabir, be it humans or demi-gods and plays foul with the children of God.
The meticulous analysis will be done on the following key points, which will explain the dreadful trap of Brahm Kaal in the context of Daksha Prajapati.
- What is the dreadful trap of Kaal?
- Who was Daksha in Hinduism?
- Why did Daksha Prajapati hate Lord Shiva?
- Kaal's deception to Shiva and Sati, Plotted to Destroy Daksha Prajapati

What is The Dreadful Trap of Kaal?
The creation of the universe described in Suksham Veda reveals that Brahm Kaal was expelled from the eternal abode Satlok due to his evil conduct. Thereafter, this Satan became vindictive. He started taking revenge from the Supreme God Kabir/ Param Akshar Brahm by torturing His beloved children (we souls) in 84 lacs life-forms. He keeps souls indulged in practices which have no authenticity in certified holy scriptures hence, useless like visiting places of Pilgrimage, idol worship, performing rituals (Yagya), performing austerity etc. with which the creature does not get any benefit rather incurs sins which over the time becomes the reason for their suffering, gradually the person becomes atheist. This is the dreadful trap of Kaal.
All living beings are ignorant about this truth, which is revealed in Sachhidanand Ghan Brahm's speech in Suksham Ved.
There is a mention of the conversation held between Almighty Kabir and Brahm Kaal in Kabir Sagar, where Kaal says
Deval dev paashaan poojai, Teerath vrat jap tap man laai||
Pooja jisme dev aradhi, yeh mat jeevo ko raakhu maadi| Yajna hom aur nem achara, aur anek phand mein daara||
Further, Kaal says to Almighty Kabir
Beshak jao gyaani sansara, jeev na maane kaha tumhara|| Kaha tumhara jeev na maane, Hamari ore ho vaad bakhaane|| Dradh fanda hum racha banaai, ja mein sakal jeev uljhaai||
Meaning: KaaI says he will make souls worship stones. He will keep them entangled in pilgrimages, keeping fast, in false chanting, performing austerities. No creature will listen to your (Gods) true knowledge rather will become my advocate and argue with you.
Having understood the cruel intention of Brahm Kaal, it will now be easy for devotees to understand
- What happened to Daksha?
Moving ahead, we will clarify that Daksha Prajapati was a puppet in the hands of Satan Kaal, who played foul using vices which Daksha possessed and ruined his life.
Who Was Daksha in Hinduism?
The expansion of Kaal's realm started after the birth of the Triple Gods, Shri Brahma Ji, Shri Vishnu Ji, and Shri Shiva/ Shankar Ji from the union of Jyoti Niranjan and Prakriti Devi Durga (Gita 14:3 & 4).
According to the Puranas, King Daksha, a Primordial creator (Prajapati), is the son of Rajogun Lord Brahma, believed to be born from his right thumb. Lord Vishnu was his revered God. He is well known for his arrogance and strictness, due to which a series of episodes occurred that culminated in a tussle, especially with Tamogun Lord Shiva, who was his son-in-law.
Depicted as a rule-follower and stubborn in behaviour, sturdy-bodied Daksha is also believed to be the progenitor of creation and was the father of numerous daughters, amongst whom Sati holds a distinctive place in Hindu mythology.
The profound analysis about handsome yet proud King Daksha eloquently proves that despite possessing various powers, he was merely a puppet in the hands of the owner of 21 universes, meaning Satan Kaal and could not be liberated from his trap, which will be proved ahead from an important episode plotted in his life by Kaal.
Why Did Daksha Prajapati Hate Lord Shiva?
Arrogance, jealousy, anger, affection, pride and like are such vices in beings that lead to their destruction, and Brahm Kaal takes full advantage of such vices and misuses them to make the life of beings hell. Even the Gods are not untouched.
The well-known episode plotted by Kaal mentioned in Vedic literature is when Daksha Prajapati cursed his son-in-law, the Moon God.
Daksha married his 27 daughters to Chandra (Moon God), amongst whom Rohini alone was dear to the Moon God, and he did not pay attention to the other 26 wives. The 26 daughters complain about Moon's unwelcoming treatment to their father, Daksha Prajapati, who got furious and cursed Chandra to lose all his brilliance and radiance and completely fade away.
With this curse, there occurred an imbalance in Nature and many lives (medicinal herbs, i.e. vegetation -evidence Gita 15:13) got into trouble who were dependent on moonlight.
Then, on the suggestion of Shri Brahma Ji, Chandra Dev approached Lord Shiva to intervene and provide a solution. Shri Shiva Ji, moved by the plea of several deities and the Moon God, granted him the boon of waning during Krishna Paksha and waxing during Shukla Paksha. Henceforth, the light of the moon would not be completely extinguished. This is how Shiva freed Chandra Dev from the curse of Daksha. Since then, Shiva has held the crescent moon on his matted hair.
This episode created a feeling of hatred in arrogant King Daksha for Shiva, for he felt that Shiva's protection of the Moon God reduced his fame and power.
Sati/ Parvati was also Daksha's daughter, who was fascinated by Shiva and wanted to marry him, but Daksha simply denied giving his consent for their marriage. Yet Sati married Shiva Ji, going against Daksha Prajapati's will, which further aggravated hatred in Daksha for Shiva Ji.
Note: Aforementioned proves how Brahm Kaal misuses vices in beings. Daksha Prajapati was too arrogant for his position and used to insult Lord Shiva time and again in various situations.
Moving ahead, we will read another episode plotted by Brahm Kaal in the life of King Daksha, which paved the way for his demise.
Kaal's Deception to Shiva And Sati, Plotted to Destroy Daksha Prajapati
The Epic Ramayana is a well-known scripture. Everyone knows what happened during the 14 years of exile period of Lord Ram, but due to a lack of true spiritual knowledge, hardly people are aware of an important episode plotted by Kaal which led to the destruction of Sati and subsequent fall of Lord Shiva’s rage on Daksha Prajapati.
Important: The enlightened saint/ Tatvadrashta only reveals hidden spiritual facts from Suksham Veda, which is the fifth Veda, lesser known to the masses.
When Ravana kidnapped Sita, Shri Ramchandra was highly distressed and used to wander from place to place, jungle to jungle like a madman, inquiring from everyone, including trees, animals ‘Where is his Sita? Does anyone have a clue? ‘.
One day, while Ramchandra was lamenting for Sita, Lord Shiva saw him from ‘Shivlok' and saluted him as Lord Ram, alias Lord Vishnu, is his elder brother. Sati/ Parvati, wife of Shiva/ Shankar, noticed the same and asked her consort Shiva Ji, 'whom did he bow to?’. Shiva Ji said he bowed to Shri Vishnu Ji, who has incarnated on earth as Shri Ramchandra and is engrossed in grief at the separation of his wife Sita.
Sati said, 'It’s difficult for her to believe that Lord Vishnu is helpless and is crying. He is All-capable. I will go and examine him. Shri Shiva Ji warned her not to take the examination of Ramachandra Ji. She pretended to agree from outside, but as soon as Shiva Ji went somewhere, Sati acquired the form of Sita and went to examine Shri Ram.
Shri Ramchandra Ji saw Sati standing in front of him disguised as Sita, he immediately identified her and asked, ‘O the daughter of Daksha, why did you come alone? Where did you leave Lord Shiv Ji?
Sati got embarrassed for being recognised by Shri Ram and realised her mistake for suspecting her husband. Shri Shiv Ji was telling the truth. Lord Ram is Lord Vishnu. She felt ashamed and went away.
Ponder: Here, an important point to note is that Shri Ram does not know where his Sita is. He was inquiring from everyone, but he recognised Sati disguised as Sita. It was because Kaal opened the divine sight of Shri Ram. Earlier, it was closed. This is how he deceives.
Brahm Kaal is the knowledge giver of the Gita, and in Chapter 7, Verse 10, he says that he is the primary cause of all living beings. ‘Arjun! I am the intelligence of the intelligent and the brilliance of the brilliant.
On the other side, Kaal inspired Shiva that Sati deceived him, and despite his warning, Sati went and examined Shri Ram. When Shiva asked, Sati simply lied, which raised anger in him, and he discarded her, did not accept her as his wife thereon, since Sati acquired the form of the wife of his elder brother, Vishnu, who is a respectful equivalent to his mother.
Thereafter, Shiva maintained a distance from Sati/ Parvati and went deep into meditation. Although Sati was guilty and waited for quite some time to get the situation normal but her patience and all efforts went in vain.
Important: By plotting this episode, Brahm Kaal targeted Daksha and Shiva as both already had strained relationships, and he knew well what would be its repercussions.
Moving ahead, we will reveal the impact of this episode, which changed the very picture of religious mythology.
Self Immolation of Sati, Daughter of Daksha Prajapati
Distressed Sati went to her parents' home, where she saw her father, Daksha Prajapati, had organised a Yagya in which all her sisters, along with their husbands, Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and several other dignitaries were invited with due respect, but she and Shiva Ji were not invited. The share of all sisters and their husbands, and other luminaries, was also kept.
When she asked her mother why she and her husband were not invited, her mother told her that you married Shiva, going against the will of your father and all family members, due to which he is annoyed with both of you, hence, you were not invited. Sati/ Parvati got furious. Then there was an argument between her and Daksha Prajapati in which Daksha highly insulted Lord Shiva and categorically told Sati that she wasn’t invited. She shouldn’t have come. Shiva is wild, who smears ash on his whole body with a serpent coiled around his neck. Daksha said that I do not want to be insulted by inviting such a clumsy person.
Distressed with Daksha's insult and with the denial of Lord Shiva to accept her as his wife anymore, Sati’s anger rose to the seventh sky, and she jumped into the fire pit (Hawan Kund) in which the religious ritual was happening. She was completely burned and had a terrible demise.
This episode, plotted by Brahm Kaal, is mentioned in detail in the Shiva Purana and highlights
- Vices like arrogance, anger, pride, and jealousy prevail even in God’s in the realm of Kaal
- King Daksha was arrogant. He hated Shiva Ji.
- Sati, believed to be an incarnation of Shakti, died miserably. Was she the supreme power?
- Why did Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, despite holding the powers of the three realms, become helpless and could not save Sati?
- The religious ritual (Yagya) is performed for prosperity, but it caused destruction. It raises questions about its authenticity.
The aforementioned episode of the self-immolation of Sati/ Uma proves these so-called gods have minimal powers. They are all tied up and work only according to Divine law. They are mortal and are in the cycle of birth and death.
What Happened to Daksha After Sati Died?
The information about the death of Sati/ Uma reached Shiva Ji. He got furious and created Bhirav/ Kaal Bhairav/ Veerbhadra from his matted hair by his spiritual accomplishment and sent him along with his several attendants (Gann) to teach a lesson to the arrogant King Daksha. A fierce battle was fought at the Yagya premises. The irony was, the creator God of Kaal's realm, Lord Brahma, ran out of fear. When Lord Vishnu tried to escape, Daksha Prajapati stopped him, saying, ‘You are my revered deity. You should protect me.
Kaal Bhairav destroyed the entire Yagya, and there was a lot of devastation.
Yet another evil aspect and trick of Brahm Kaal is exposed.
- What does such a furious act of the demi-gods of Kaal signify? Do Gods fight?
- Why did Shiva/ Shankar react so hard to the death of Sati when he had already discarded her as his wife?
Why Was Daksha Prajapati Beheaded?
Soon, Lord Shiva arrived at the Yagya site, where a lot of devastation had already been done by Veerbhadra/ Bhairav and his attendants. Finally, he beheaded arrogant King Daksha, for that is the only solution to destroy vices in beings in Kaal's realm.
This was the solution provided by Brahm Kaal.
- Is this a permanent solution to the destruction of vices?.
Important: True devotion to Almighty Kabir is the permanent solution to kill vices in beings, which is told by the enlightened saint who provides true devotion and true salvation mantras certified in holy scriptures.
Why Goat Head On Daksha?
Later, on the request of deities, Lord Shiva's rage calmed down, and he resurrected Daksha Prajapati by placing on him a Goat's head. This was possible because Daksha’s breath was remaining in his account. Lord Shiva possesses this much power and can revive a being if he has breath remaining.
Daksha Prajapati Became the Medium for the Establishment Of 51 Shakti Peeth
Brahm Kaal's dangerous trap has to be understood here. As he had promised to Almighty Kabir that he would engage his children (souls) in useless practices like idol worship, pilgrimages, visiting temples, etc., therefore, he played this game.
Kaal played with a vice-like affection and filled Shiva with a lot of attachment for Sati, for whom previously he created a feeling of hatred.
Shiva took the burnt skeleton of Sati on his shoulders and, like a recluse, wandered madly all around for 10,000 years lamenting ‘O Daksha Maya, O Sati, Parvati-Parvati'.
Brahm Kaal inspired Lord Vishnu, then he intervened and fragmented the skeleton of Sati into 51 parts with his Sudarshan Chakra. Then Shiva got detached. Thereafter, Shiva Ji went into deep meditation for several years, intending to kill vices in him like lust, affection, for they are the real cause of the destruction of beings.
Where the eyes of Sati fell on earth, Naina Devi temple was established, where the head fell, Mansa Devi temple was established, where her body fell, Vishno Devi temple was established, where her tongue fell, Jwala Ji temple was established and so on.
The point is, Villain Kaal made Daksha Prajapati a medium to fulfil his crooked intention. In this way, there are 51 Shaktipeeth where innocent devotees visit unknowingly on the advice of fake religious gurus/ Brahmans, intending to get the blessing of Shakti/ Goddess, but in turn, disaster happens.
These Shaktipeeths are merely a memory of the incident. Goddess is not seated there, and there is no spiritual benefit in visiting any pilgrimage site. Neither is salvation possible. Such practices are strictly prohibited in Gita 16:23-24.
An important point to highlight here is why Shiva couldn’t revive Sati/ Parvati? He revived Daksha. It was because Sati's breaths were over.
Conclusion
The following conclusion has been drawn from the story of Daksha Prajapati
- Brahm Kaal deceived Daksha Prajapati, Lord Shiva, and Sati/ Parvati.
- Vices in beings are the reason for their destruction.
- Demi-gods of Kaal are mortal.
- Arbitrary worship, like visiting places of pilgrimage, is useless.
- Gods of Kaal possess minimal powers.
This true spiritual fact has been decoded by enlightened Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj systematically from Suksham Veda, which analyses the most intricate aspect of Brahm Kaal's dreadful trap. All God loving souls are therefore advised not to waste their precious human birth like Daksha Prajapati in getting indulged in wrong practices rather should take refuge in the only living Satguru Rampal Ji Maharaj on earth. Take initiation, do true devotion to the Almighty Kabir and become eligible for the attainment of emancipation.
