Draupadi/ Panchali/ Yajnaseni/ Krishna is the central female character of the Hindu epic Mahabharata, scripted on the basis of events that occurred during the Dvapara Yuga. Princess of the Panchal Kingdom, she is portrayed as the epitome of femininity. Draupadi is also praised for her beauty, devotion and valour. She was the common wife of five Pandavas, Yudhishthir, Bheem, Arjun, Nakul and Sahadev and the mother of five sons, one with each Pandav, who were called UpaPandavas. Queen of Indraprastha after her Polyandrous marriage, Draupadi was the incarnation of Devi Durga/ Ashtangi. This and much more related information about Draupadi is well known to people. What is lesser known about her will be revealed in this write-up.
In the light of true spiritual knowledge and based on facts mentioned in the most revered ancient holy scripture Suksham Veda meaning in the nectar words of Sachidanand Ghan Brahm that is God Kabir's nectar speech several hidden facts have been highlighted about Brahm Kaal’s wife Durga and her form Draupadi and Kaal's deceit to his consort which reveal the real story of Draupadi not known to people till date. Unmasking how rebellious Satan Kaal fools the children of Almighty Kabir and how God remains with His beloved children all throughout and protects them will be the focus of this article.
Note: The reference has been taken from nectar sermons of Jagatguru Tatvadarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, Suksham Veda and sacred books written by him - MuktiBodh, Kabir Bada Ya Krishna, Yatharth Bhakti Bodh.
Suksham Veda, Kabir Sagar provides the information about the creation of universes by Param Akshar Brahm/ Satpurush Kavir Dev and the existence of rebellious Jyoti Niranjan, the owner of only 21 universes, who is a devil and remains unmanifested. Goddess Durga is the wife of Kaal and mother of the Hindu triumvirate Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.
During the churning of the ocean, four pious Vedas came out, which were given to Shri Brahma Ji. He read them and got to know about the supreme God. When Brahma Ji inquired from his mother, Prakriti Devi/ Durga, she did not disclose the truth. Then Lord Brahma endeavoured to search for his father, but all his efforts went in vain. Keeping his promise to his mother that he will not show his face if he doesn't find his father, Shri Brahma Ji, after failing to have an audience with Kaal Brahm, tells lies to his mother that he has seen his father. Annoyed with Brahma Ji's lie, Durga cursed him to remain Non-worshipable. Jyoti Niranjan/ Kaal, annoyed with Durga, adopting the policy of ‘Tit for Tat’ in turn, cursed his consort Durga to be born as Draupadi in the Dvapara Yuga and have five husbands.
This is the real story of the origin of Draupadi. She was the daughter of King Draupad of the Panchaal Kingdom in the Dvapara Yuga.
The script was plotted at inception. Moving ahead, we will know how merciful God Kabir took His pious soul in His shelter, protected her and did welfare for Draupadi.
God Kabir acquired the form of a blind sage and went to the Ganga ghat, which King Draupad had prepared for taking a bath for his Queen, daughters and all female royal family members. As per her routine, when Draupadi went to Ganga, she saw a blind sage standing deep inside the water whose lower garment had been washed away by the strong current of water. It is said
Kabira, darshan saadh ka aur Parmatma aave yaad|
Lekhe mein vahe ghadi, baki ka samay barbaad||
Sadhu darshan Ram ka mukh pe base suhaag|
Aur darsh unhi ko hote hai jinke pooran bhaag||
Due to shame, the sage was unable to come out. Noticing him in an awkward situation, Draupadi quickly tore her saree and provided that piece of her costly saree for him to cover himself, thus saving his honour. God Kabir covered His lower body part with it and came out of the river. He blessed Draupadi, saying that ‘today you have saved my honour. May God save you in a critical situation and give you too much.
Saadh vachan palte nahi, palat jave Brahamand||
In this way, God made Draupadi perform an auspicious deed, which proved to be a boon for her in the future. God Kabir says
Dete ko har det hai, jahan tahan se aan|
Aur na diya phir mangte phiriyo Sahib (Parmatma) sune na Kaan||
It has been mentioned in the Suksham Veda
Suraj bansi Pancho pando। Kaal meech sir deve dando।। Dharma Yudhishthir dhare dhiyana। Arjun lakh Sanghani bana। Sehdev Bhim Nakul aur kaunta। Draupadi Jung ka deena nyuta।
Meaning: The aforesaid speech from the Suksham Veda describes the participation of warriors in the Mahabharata.
The Pandavas made the palace of mirrors (Sheesh Mahal). Duryodhan visited and collided with the mirror wall and fell because he could not see, since it was a maze. Draupadi was watching, and she mocked her brother-in-law. She laughed and said, ‘The son of a blind is also blind.’
Duryodhana felt insulted and became vindictive; hence, during the game of dice, by defeating Yudhishthir with a cheat, he won Draupadi and tried to humiliate her by ordering Dushasana, his younger brother, to disrobe her in front of all members present in the assembly. This fun statement of Draupadi ignited the Mahabharata war.
Drupad suta kun deenhe leer, jake anant badhaye cheer।
In that critical moment, when neither the five Pandavas nor the great warriors like Bhishma, Dronacharya, or Karna offered to help save Draupadi from insult, only Uncle Vidura stood by her and questioned Duryodhana, saying:
Vidura kahe ye bandu thara, eke kul eke pariwara||
Duryodhan, have some shame. Why are you stripping the respect of your daughter-in-law? In turn, arrogant Duryodhan misbehaved with his uncle Vidura and slapped him.
Vidura ke mukh par lagya thapeda||
Tu to hai Pandavon ka chera||
Tu to hai bandi ka Jaya, wahan Bhishma, Drona aur Karan muskaya||
Then Vidura left the assembly. Finally, Draupadi called Shri Krishna. God Kabir then appeared in the form of Lord Krishna and saved her honour by increasing her saree to infinite layers.
Duryodhan aur Dushasan ko Draupadi cheer utare||
Andhe ko kopeen dayee thi vo badh gaye unt apare||
God Kabir kept His divine promise which He gave to Draupadi as a blind sage.
Note: Prior to the disrobing episode in Kauravas assembly due to ill-manners of Duryodhan Lord Krishna got annoyed and had shown his ‘Viratroop’. Then he went home. Evidence from Suksham Veda tells that when Draupadi was brought by Dushashan holding her hair and Kauravas were humiliating her at that time, Krishna was playing dice game with his wife Rukmani.
Rukmani kar pakda muskayee, anant kaha moku samjhayee||
Finally, Dushashan, exhausted and having failed in disrobing Draupadi he surrendered.
Dushsan ko Draupadi pakdi, humari bhagat sakal mein Shikhari||
Jo humra bhagat pichodi hoyee, to hamara naam na leve koee||
Tan Dehi se pasa daari wo pahunche Suksham roop murari||
Khenchat khenchat khainch kasisa, sir par baithe hai jagdeesha||
Drupd suda ko deenhe leer, Jake anant badhayee cheer||
Draupad sudha ke cheer badhaye, sankh asankhon paar nahi paye||
Then, Duryodhan and all the Kauravas left the assembly after being insulted.
Warriors like Bhishma Pitamah, Dronacharya, and Karna, who also had foul intentions and did not protect Draupadi, were also slain in the war. It is said
Draupadi cheer haran mein kahin na aadi teethi, tantey unn teeno par Mahabharata mein aisi beeti||
Those three so-called warriors had a miserable demise in war because of the sin incurred due to this cowardly act. Bhishma Pitanha lay on the bed of arrows for several days, which was very painful and then died.
Later, when one day Shri Krishna met Draupadi and she thanked him for saving her modesty, then Shri Krishna told her that it wasn't he but the supreme power, that blind sage who protected your honour to whom Draupadi had given the piece of cloth of her saree. Then she realised that the blind sage was no ordinary sage and said
Ek leer ke karne mere ho gaye cheer apaar||
Jo mein pehle jaanti to sarvas deti vaar||
Draupadi fought bravely in the Mahabharata war and took revenge for her insult as certified in the speech from Suksham Veda. God Kabir protected her in the battlefield.
Haath khappar aru mastak binda। Tharah khoohani Mele dunda।। Devi Shiv-Shiv kare sindhare। Khadag Baan chakron se mare। Chausanth jogini bawan beera। Bhakshan badan kare tadvira। Asur katak dhoomar udd jayee। Suron raksha kare gosain।
It has been said that Draupadi by putting a Bindi on her forehead and carrying a ‘Khhappar’ (bowl-form skull of the dead) and by ill-treating Duryodhan destroyed 18 akshoni (18 crore) Kaurava army. The demons supporting Kauravas were killed. The supreme God (gosain) Himself was protecting the god-form good soldiers who came from heaven to support Pandavas. Had the supreme God not supported Pandavas then Kaal would have destroyed them. This is how God Kabir protects His virtuous souls who had been in His refuge in previous human births and had performed His true devotion.
Draupadi ke khappar me medni samayasi। Chaunsath jogini mangal gayasi।।
Meaning: Draupadi was carrying ‘Khappar’. She had opened her hair and had told five Pandavas that she would tie her hair, the day Dushasan was killed. Due to her conditions put forth the huge army was destroyed. 64 ‘Jogniye’ had celebrated her victory by singing songs at that time. In this way, if someone does wrong then Draupadi destroys them like this.
Lakh chaurasi jeev ku, aur Sahib bhojan det||
Lakh chaurasi pokhta, wo apna naam nahi let||
Suksham Veda describes yet another episode where God Kavir Dev protected Draupadi and erased the writing of Brahm Kaal's script.
Roti Krishna Dev kun payee, Sahans atthaasi ki kshuddha mitayee||
Meaning: When Pandavas were completing their tenure of 13 years' exile in the Jungle at that time, arrogant and vindictive Duryodhan conspired and sent sage Durvasa to curse Pandavas. Rishi Durvasa was living in Duryodhana's garden for 12 years, where Duryodhana used to serve him. As planned, Rishi Durvasa came along with 88,000 sages late evening to the Pandavas' place and asked for food. His intention was foul. He put quite an impossible condition.
Aaj ke boye aam angoora, Kaamdhenu ka doodh kapoora|| Aaj ke boye dhaan mangao, aur Mansarovar ka jal laao।
Meaning: Sage Duvasa had stipulated an impossible condition that the meal should be kheer, and that the paddy should be sown today and the rice should be harvested today. Similarly, sow mangoes and grapes today, let the fruits ripen, and then pluck them and feed him and all 88,000 sages. Bring the milk of Kamadhenu from heaven and water from Mansarovar and prepare kheer. If you don't do this, I will inflict a curse on all of you.
Durvasa Ji had come with his group to trouble the Pandavas as instructed by Duryodhan. In reality, they did not have any intention to eat.
Draupadi had received a divine utensil from God Surya by performing his devotion. She had received a boon that until she doesn't eat food prepared in that utensil, the food will not finish, no matter how many people from the three realms may also eat.
By the time sage Durvasa arrived, Draupadi had eaten. Pandavas got tensed with the condition put by Sage Durvasa. Even if food was cooked in that utensil by morning, it would not fully function. After sunrise, the divine utensil used to regain its strength. Worried Pandavas and Draupadi prayed to their guru, Shri Krishna, to help them come out of this critical situation. It is said
Das Garib Saheb dhukte dhade||
Wherever there is oppression done to someone, there Purna Brahm Almighty Kabir comes and helps; else this Kaal will finish them. Devotion will vanish.
At that time, God Kabir came acquiring the form of Shri Krishna. Draupadi told their worry, then God Kabir said ‘First feed me, then I can feed the sages. The Pandavas explained that after Draupadi had eaten, there was nothing left in the utensil. Then Lord said, "Even if it was just a speck, look for it, Draupadi!"
Draupadi! Dhoondh Draupadi dhoondh koi Bhojan ka kirka। Pratham Karun aahar phir metun Muni Jan ki trishna।।
Draupadi saw a Goosefoot (Bathua) green leaf stuck in that divine utensil. God said mix water in it and bring. God drank the whole of it. It is said
To ghole piya Jagdeesh vahan Muni Jan afrayaa।
The moment God drank, sage Durvasa and all 88,000 sages were satiated to the extent that their stomachs were about to burst. It was getting difficult for them to digest food. They had overeaten.
Bheemsen was sent to bring the sages to eat food. He saw that all the sages were rolling like donkeys because of overeating.
Durvasa Ji said, ‘Our souls are satisfied. We are very pleased with your hospitality. Tell us, who has come to you?’ Bhim said that Lord Krishna has come. Durvasa said, "It is because of his spectacle that our stomachs are full. We cannot eat anymore.
Actually, Sage Durvasa had come to curse and destroy the Pandavas, but Almighty Kabir changed his mind. He, in turn, cursed the enemy of the Pandavas and said, "May God destroy your enemies".
Durvasa ke shrap ki lagi apoothi laat।
Kauravas were backfired. Due to Durvasa's curse and Kaal’s plotted script Kauravas were defeated in the Mahabharata war.
It's natural for a queen to become arrogant. Queen Draupadi was no exception because in the realm of Satan Kaal, no creature is immune to vices.
The Mahabharata war was over, and Yudhishthir was crowned the King of Indraprastha, but the throne was not a bed of roses. He used to have nightmares where he saw dead bodies of soldiers howling and entering his room. Many were beheaded. Their widows are screaming. The orphans are crying badly, asking why you killed our father?. Yudhishthir started spending sleepless nights.
Seeing the pitiable condition of Yudhishthir, Draupadi discussed the same with the rest four Pandava brothers. They seek help from Shri Krishna, who suggested to them ‘organise a religious ritual (ashwamegh Yagya) to end the effect of sins incurred in war’. The parameter to judge the success of sacrifice was the ‘Panch mukhi’ (5-faced) ‘Panchanan’ conch shell to sound so loud it would be heard till heaven. All 33 koti gods of Heaven, 88,000 sages, 12 crore Brahmans, 9 Naths, 84 perfect men and 56 crore Yadavas, including Lord Krishna himself, were present. Even Tridev Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv partook in the feast, and all dignitaries of the three realms were invited to the Bhandara. Everyone, including Lord Krishna, ate food, but the conch shell placed on a throne did not sound.
Yudhishthir got tense. God Kabir gave Shri Krishna a divine sight with which he saw that a supreme power named Sudarshan had not come to the community meal. Unless that great man is satiated, no matter whether people of all three realms may eat the Yagya won't be a success.
God Kabir had incarnated as sage Karunamay in Dvapara Yuga and took one of His beloved souls from the supach caste into His refuge. His name was Sudarshan. God Kabir showed His supach Sudarshan form to Shri Krishna. Krishna Ji, along with five Pandavas, went to invite God Kabir (supach Sudarshan).
When God Kabir came, Draupadi prepared delicious food for the sage. God was in very ordinary attire; therefore, no one considered that he could be some supreme power. Draupadi was also mistaken and had faults in her mind. God Kabir mixed the whole food served to Him and made its five portions. Draupadi thought in her mind that ‘he is from a low caste and is behaving like the same. He does not even know how to eat. I prepared such delicious food with so much effort.
When God Kabir took the first bite, the conch shell sounded but stopped. It sounded the same way with four bites. The Pandavas took a sigh of relief and became happy.
Then Shri Krishna said that “ideally the conch should have blown to infinity, whose sound could even cross Heaven. There is some fault at our end. When Shri Krishna inquired from Draupadi, she accepted she faulted her mind for supach Sudarshan. Her arrogance became a hindrance to the successful completion of Yagya.
Shri Krishna told Draupadi to apologise to God Kabir and drink His ‘Charnaamrit’. She brought water in a vessel, washed the feet of God in Supach Sudarshan form and drank the holy water. Shri Krishna also drank some. Then the conch shell sounded loud and was heard even beyond heaven thus marking successful completion of religious sacrifice. It is said
Garib, Pando Yash Ashwamegh mein valmiki ki dehe||
Shankh panchayan bajiya rakhya nahi sandeh||
Garib, Supach roop dhar aayeya Satguru Purush Kabir||
The movie Mahabharata scripted by Kaal comes to an end with the return of five Pandavas, Draupadi and Kunti to their respective places from where they had come.
On the advice of Shri Krishna when he was counting his last breaths in Dwarka, Pandavas renounced their Kingdom and went to the Himalayas. Lord Krishna told them to meditate and melt their bodies in the Himalayas so that their sins could end which they had incurred in war. They agreed to Shri Krishna Ji's advice and went to the Himalayas.
After death, Yudhishtir went to Dharamraj, his father. Vayudev took his son Bheem. Lord Indra took his son Arjuna. Ashvini Kumars the twin brothers Nasatya and Dastra took their sons Nakula and Sahadeva respectively to their realms. Kunti ascended to Heaven and Draupadi went to Durgalok.
Conclusion: Draupadi was the most beloved daughter (soul) of God Kabir to whom butcher Brahm Kaal cursed (Durga's incarnation) and wrote a script full of sufferings. She was a woman symbolic of beauty with brains and valour whom God Kabir gave protection and stood by her side all throughout her life in all critical situations be it the episode of disrobing her in Kauravas assembly or saving her in battlefield. God Kabir saved her modesty.
Although, according to the law of Kaal’s realm the soul of Draupadi will suffer in 84 lakhs life species yet God Kabir will take her in His refuge when she would be born as a human being and will liberate her during the prime time of devotion as already fixed which is going on at present.
The same supreme God who played the divine act of a blind sage in Dvapara Yuga has incarnated again on earth and is performing the role of an enlightened sant Rampal Ji Maharaj in Haryana state, India. He is doing wonders by bringing happiness in the life of several devout souls. Take the refuge of Almighty Kabir and become eligible for attaining emancipation and reach Satlok.
