The path to self-welfare and ultimate attainment is unique. By performing unscriptural devotion in Kaal’s realm, all those who possess few accomplishments consider themselves supreme and showcase their power, fooling people into believing that they have achieved higher levels in the spiritual path. This is an outcome of their sheer ignorance. Until the real spiritual achievement is known, such hypocritical and deluded seekers continue to make the mistake of thinking themselves equal to God.
Baba Mastnath, belonging to the Nath sect, was also an accomplished Yogi possessing the same wrong notion. He encountered respected Sant Garib Das Ji and soon realised he was mistaken to consider himself a great man when his Yogic powers got fused in front of the supremely powerful saint Garib Das Ji Maharaj.
In this article, we will reveal the true account of a meeting held between divine Sant Garib Das Ji Maharaj and Baba Mastnath Ji, as told by Jagatguru Tatvadarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj in His spiritual discourses.
Sant Baba Mastnath Ji Maharaj of Math Asthal Bohar near Rohtak was a great ascetic who was endowed with Siddhis/ spiritual powers. Baba Mastnath was contemporary to respected Sant Garib Das Ji Maharaj, almost 250 years ago, who hailed from the Nath sect, similar to Tantrik Gorakhnath and his guru Matsyendranath, Goopichand, Bhartharinath, etc. He was popular for his Yogic powers gained after performing hath yoga/ severe austerities, which was their traditional practice followed by earlier sadhus of his lineage. It is said that a saint with perfection is jealous of another saint. A saint with perfection has a desire for his own dominion. Baba Mastnath was such a saint of his time.
Note: Lord Shiva is the respected deity of the Nath sect. This clarifies that the roots of this panth are associated with Kaal Brahm. The followers of Kaal's panth perform devotion against the injunctions of holy scriptures; therefore, they remain deprived of attaining salvation.
Baba Mastnath heard that a Jat saint was in the Chudani district of Jhajjar, Haryana; therefore, he went to Chudani village to investigate the power of Sant Garib Das Ji. Baba Mastnath asked, 'Who is Garib Das?'
Respected Sant Garib Das Ji was sitting in front. He said The name of this servant is Garib Das. Come, Nath Ji, have a seat. Have food and water.
Due to the arrogance of his powers, Baba Mastnath did not sit. He remained standing. In the meantime, several people of the village gathered there to see that Mastnath Ji, an accomplished saint, had arrived.
Nath Ji said ‘What is your Panth?
Garib Das Ji said, ‘My panth is Aadi Anadi’.
Aadi sanatan panth hamara janat nahi ye sansara| Pantho seti panth alehda inn bhekhyo beech pada hai behda||
Meaning: The path of ignorants is not correct.
There was a little knowledge discussion between them. Baba Mastnath noticed that he could not win with words; therefore, he started displaying his accomplishments. Mastnath Ji picked up a Mugdar (wrestlers' exercise object), which was 40kg, and threw it in the sky and stopped it at a height of 150 feet, and said to Sant Garib Das Ji Take it off and give it to me’.
Garibdas Ji said to Baba Mastnath Ji, 'Maharaj, this work is done by Magicians. Self-welfare has nothing to do with such a show-off. Mastnath said, 'If you have any power, then show it.
Garibdas Ji said to his second son Turtiram, 'Son, take off the Mugdar for Maharaj Ji’. Turtiram extended his hand and brought down the Mugdar and kept aside Baba Mastnath.
Baba Mastnath noticed that his words carry no weight, so he said, ‘I will set fire in Chhudani’.
Garib Das Ji said, ‘Saints build villages, they do not destroy. Don't do this.
Mastnath Ji said, ‘I will insult you so that you may not dare in future’.
Garib Das Ji said ‘You build a well with your accomplishment. People will drink water and sing your glory. But Mastnath Ji set fire towards the West side.
Sitting there itself Garib Das Ji moved His hand. That fire was extinguished, but broke out in Maharaj Ji’s Asthal Bohar Monastery in Rohtak.
Garib Das Ji said, ‘Now you extinguish this fire’
Mastnath Ji saw with his power, truly, the fire broke out in Asthal Bohar Monastery. After trying a lot, he could not extinguish the fire. Then Mastnath Ji apologised, saying, ‘There are so many Sadhus living there, so many cows in Gaushala. All will die. Kindly shower grace and extinguish this fire.
Garib Das Ji showered mercy, diverted and drowned that fire in a nearby pond and saved everyone. Garib Das Ji preached Mastnath Ji. Then Mastnath Ji did work for public welfare.
Conclusion: Respected Sant Garib Das Ji Maharaj was the incarnation of God Kabir almost 250 years ago. He was the liberator (Bandi Chhor). God Kabir has incarnated yet again for the welfare of human beings in the form of Jagatguru Tatvadarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. He is the saviour of the world. He is granting the true salvation mantra. All God-loving souls should take His refuge so that no one remains deprived of attaining emancipation like Baba Mastnath.
