The 2025 monsoon was extremely difficult for farmers in Haryana and surrounding states. Continuous heavy rainfall, flooding, and waterlogging damaged large quantities of crops across Hisar, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Kurukshetra, Fatehabad, Rewari, Jhajjar, and several other districts.
According to reports from The Tribune and The Indian Express, by September 6, 2025, around 169,000 farmers from 2,897 villages had registered crop losses spanning nearly 996,000 acres.
In Hisar district, 276 villages were affected. Roughly 30,000 farmers reported losses across nearly 200,000 acres. In many places, water stood in fields for extended periods, threatening the sowing of the next crop as well. In Litani village, Hisar, about 3,000 acres of land went underwater, and nearly 200 families had to leave their homes for safety.
The government began recording farmer losses through the e-Kshatipurti portal and later expanded the number of affected villages officially recognised.
Overall, the 2025 floods and waterlogging placed enormous challenges before Haryana's farmers: saving their crops, keeping their families safe, and preparing for the next sowing season. While the government initiated compensation and relief processes, what farmers needed most urgently at that moment was immediate help.
When a field is flooded, a farmer cannot simply apply for compensation and wait. The water must be drained first, which requires motors, pipes, diesel, and generators where electricity is unavailable. Most critically, this help must arrive on time.
When administrative appeals from farmers and villagers in many areas failed to bring timely relief, farmers and village representatives from numerous rural areas turned to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj for help. This is where a relief and assistance campaign emerged, focused on addressing the immediate needs of affected farmers.
India has, over time, been home to many Sants and sages who devoted their lives to serving society and spreading spiritual knowledge. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj belongs to this tradition. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj was born on September 8, 1951, in Dhanana village, Sonipat district, Haryana.
In 1994, His revered Guru, Swami Ramdevanand Ji, made Sant Rampal Ji His successor. Swami Ramdevanand Ji was a Sant associated with the Garib Das Panth. Following this, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj left His job as a Junior Engineer (JE) and dedicated Himself to works of public welfare.

Subsequently, in 1999, Satlok Ashram was established in Karontha village, Rohtak. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is both a spiritual guide and a social servant. In 2025 and 2026, He played a significant role in relief efforts for farmers and flood-affected people.
Across many flood-affected regions of Haryana and other states, pipes, motors, cables, and other necessary materials were provided to drain water from farmers' fields. In districts like Hisar, Jind, Bhiwani, Rohtak, and Fatehabad, waterlogging had destroyed crops across numerous villages. During this difficult time, Sant Rampal Ji ran relief campaigns to drain water from fields, helping farmers save their agricultural land and prepare it for the next crop.
In Khedar village, Hisar district, Sant Rampal Ji provided 44,000 feet of pipe, five 15-HP motors, and necessary electrical equipment. In Pangal village, relief material worth approximately ₹2 million was provided, while Jevra village also received the resources needed for water drainage.
Similarly, Dhandheri village received 6,500 feet of pipe and three 15-HP motors, and Farmana Khas village received 33,000 feet of pipe along with motors. Villages including Banbhori, Bhikhe-Wala, Sarsod, Nahla, Danauda Kalan, and Shikarpur also received assistance for flood-affected farmers and residents.
In total, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj freed more than 400 villages from flooding.
The purpose of these relief efforts was not only to provide immediate assistance during the floods, but also to drain long-standing accumulated water from fields, restore farmers' land to a cultivable state, and help bring their livelihoods back on track. In 2026, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj continued His social service work supporting farmers and flood-affected families.
The foundation stone of all these honours given to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is His Annapurna Muhim. Launched on March 20, 2025, this Annapurna Muhim provides food, clothing, education, medical assistance, and permanent housing to those in need in society. Its purpose is to help those in need and ensure that no one is deprived of basic necessities.
Under this Annapurna Muhim, Sant Rampal Ji provided large quantities of relief material completely free of cost in flood-affected areas, including pipes, motors, cables, and other equipment essential for farming. With this help, farmers were able to drain water from their fields and prepare them for the next sowing season.
This relief campaign reached Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, and Delhi. Sant Ji instructed His followers that no farmer's field should remain submerged, and that service should continue until every field was ready for the next crop.

At the foundation of all these honours lies the on-the-ground service performed by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj during the devastating floods of 2025. In many villages of Hisar district, farmers' fields remained submerged in floodwater for over a month, crops were destroyed, and government assistance proved insufficient. Sant Rampal Ji provided heavy industrial pipes and heavy-duty motors to more than 400 villages across India so that floodwater could be drained from fields.
Many farmers were burdened with debts of up to ₹100,000 per acre. In such circumstances, Sant Ji's service pulled these families back from the depths of despair. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj also guides society toward eliminating gender, caste, and religious discrimination, and toward abandoning harmful practices such as dowry and addiction.
Sant Rampal Ji regularly delivers spiritual knowledge of Parmeshwar Kabir Dev. Gradually, the spiritual knowledge He propagated gained recognition both within India and abroad. His followers now reside in India, Nepal, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, South Africa, Mauritius, Malaysia, Fiji, and many other countries.
Through the Annapurna Muhim, free food, clothing, education, healthcare, and shelter are being provided to those in need, so that they may live with dignity. Even those who were once His critics now express reverence for this incomparable service.
Between October 2025 and January 2026, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj received these 12 major honours: Manavta Rakshak Samman, Dhanana Ratna Samman, Kisan Rakshak Samman (Hisar), Kisan Rakshak Samman (Gujarat), the Shawl and Memento (Chhotu Ram Jayanti), Kisan Masiha Samman, Bharat Gaurav Award, Kisan Ratna Samman, Kisan Jeevan Rakshak Samman, Jan Sevak Ratna Samman, Kisan Gaurav Samman, and Kisan Sant Garib Das Garima Samman.
These are not mere awards. They represent a collective expression of gratitude from the people of Haryana and India. When government machinery and institutions proved insufficient in helping flood-affected farmers, a Sant stepped forward and, through the Annapurna Muhim, provided not only immediate relief but also long-term solutions. This is why, today, across the villages of India, the name of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj remains on the lips of farmers: as a true servant of the people, a protector of humanity, and a messiah of farmers.
