पवित्र गीता जी अध्याय 9 मंत्र 25 में पित्तर पूजना अर्थात् श्राद्ध निकालना मना किया है। अन्य देवी-देवताओं की पूजा करने वालों को मन्द बुद्धि वाले लिखा है(गीता अध्याय 7 मन्त्र 12 से 15 तथा 20 से 23 तक, परन्तु श्री आसाराम जी श्राद्ध महिमा नामक पुस्तक में श्राद्ध निकालने की श्रेष्ठ विधि बताते हैं। संत श्री आसाराम जी के साबरमति अहमदाबाद आश्रम से प्रकाशित पत्रिका ऋषि प्रसाद अंक-135 मार्च 2004 में लिखा है कि भूत पूजने वाले तथा पित्तरों को पूजने वाले तथा अन्य देवी देवताओं को पूजने वाले क्या बनेंगे? जानिए अगले अंक में ... अगले अंक की पत्रिका ऋषि प्रसाद अंक 136 अप्रैल 2004 पृष्ठ 19 में लिखा था कि भूत पूजने वाले भूत लोकों को प्राप्त होंगे तथा पित्तर पूजने वाले पित्तर लोकों को प्राप्त होंगे तथा श्री कृष्ण के पूजारी भगवान श्री कृष्ण जी के बैकुण्ठ लोक को प्राप्त होंगे।
 
 
In Holy Gita Ji Adhyay 9 Mantra 25, it is prohibited to worship Pitras i.e. to carry out shraadh. Those who worship other gods-goddesses have been described as dim-witted (Gita Adhyay 7 Mantra 12 to 15 and 20 to 23), But Shri Aasaram ji in his book named “Shraadh Mahima” explains the best method of carrying out shraadh. In Sant Shri Aasaram ji’s newsletter “Rishi Prasaad”, Ank- 135, March 2004, published from Sabarmati Ahemdabad Ashram, it is written that what will the worshippers of ghosts and worshippers of pitras and worshippers of other gods-goddesses become, read in the next issue of the newsletter…. In the next issue of the newsletter ‘Rishi Prasaad’ Ank-136, April 2004, page no. 19, it is written that the worshippers of ghosts will go to the loks of ghosts, and the worshippers of the Pitras will go to the Pitra loks, and the worshippers of Shri Krishna will go to the Baikunth lok of Shri Krishna Ji.

कृप्या सोचें - कोई व्यक्ति यह भी कह रहा हो कि कूएँ में गिरने वाले मृत्यु को प्राप्त होते हैं। फिर स्वयं ही कूएँ में गिरने का परामर्श भी कर रहा है तथा कह रहा है कि कूएँ में गिरने की अच्छी विधि बताता हूँ कि दोनों कदम उठा कर एक दम छलांग लगाऐं। यह कूएँ में गिर कर मरने की श्रेष्ठ विधि है। जो ऐसा नहीं करता वह दोषी है। क्या वह व्यक्ति नेक है ?
 
 Think: In the book named “Shraadh Mahima” published by Shri Aasaram ji, the appropriate method of worshipping the Pitras is also written.
 
 Please think: On one hand, someone is saying that those who fall in well die, and then on the other hand, is himself advising to jump in the well and is saying that let me tell you the best way of falling in the well, that lifting both feet simulataneously jump into the well. This is the best way of dying by jumping into the well. One who does not follow this is a culprit. Is that person noble?
 
यह भूमिका श्री आसाराम जी संत कर रहे हैं कि एक तरफ तो कह रहे हैं कि पित्तर व भूत पूजने वाले भूत व पित्तर बनकर भूतलोक व पित्तरलोक में जायेंगे, जहाँ पर वे भूखे प्यासे रहते हैं। फिर उनको श्राद्धों द्वारा तृप्त किया जाता है। एक और विचारणीय विषय है कि जब अपने माता-पिता जीवित थे तो वे प्रतिदिन कम से कम दो बार भोजन करते थे। अब मृत्यु के पश्चात् वे श्री गीता जी विरुद्ध साधना करके दुःखदाई भूत व पित्तर योनि को प्राप्त कर चुके हैं। अब एक दिन के श्राद्ध से वे कैसे तृप्त हो सकते हैं। 364 दिन क्या खाऐंगे ? जिसके लिए संत व गुरुजन दोषी हैं जो भोली-भाली आत्माओं को गुमराह कर रहे हैं। शास्त्र ज्ञान से अपरिचित संत ही इस जीव को शास्त्र विधि रहित साधना करवा कर दुःखदाई योनियों में डलवाते हैं।
  
Sant Shri Aasaram ji is playing this role that on one hand is saying that those who worship Pitra and ghosts, becoming Pitras and ghosts, will go to the lok of Pitras and to the lok of the ghosts, where they remain devoid of food and water. Then they are sated by shraadhs. Another thing to think about is that when our parents were alive, they used to have atleast two meals a day. Now after their death, by doing sadhna opposite to Gita Ji they have attained the miserable lives of ghosts and Pitras. Now how can they be sated by a shraadh of one day? What will they eat for 364 days? For this the saints and the gurus are the culprits who are misleading the innocent souls. Only the saints, who are not familiar with the knowledge of the scriptures, by making this living being do sadhna opposite to the scriptures, put him in miserable births.
